The infant presenting to the emergency department with cyanosis requires rapid assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of therapy. In this Webinar, the potential challenges in recognizing cyanosis are discussed whether it is Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn or Critical Congenital Heart Disease. A systematic approach to the diagnosis of cyanosis is presented, based on an understanding of the normal transitional physiology, history investigation and supporting investigation. Also, the investigation and management of neonatal shock will be discussed.
