In current practice, cardiac and respiratory function are always monitored, however we often forget about brain monitoring. Cerebral function monitoring (CFM) is used not only to detect seizures but also to determine brain maturity, brain activity, prognosis after brain injury and effects of some medications. Therapeutic hypothermia is well established as a standard treatment for HIE, which will slow down the brain injury process. However, the appropriate criteria and measures of therapeutic hypothermia should be examined further to which infants are eligible and benefited.

In this Webinar, Participants will learn how to understand amplitude EEG as a cerebral function monitoring and how to apply therapeutic hypothermia safely and effectively with proper protocol for brain protection.
