Introduction

The majority of newborn infants transitions from fetal-to-neonatal live without help. However, around 10% of newborn infants fail to initiate breathing at birth. In these cases, the clinical team has to provide not only respiratory support to establish breathing but also circulation support, which remains the cornerstone of neonatal resuscitation. Resuscitation team and preparation of devices determine the success of resuscitation of high risk babies.

This Webinar session will discuss the preparation of the neonatal resuscitation team in transition from intrauterine to extrauterine, as well as the current update on neonatal resuscitation. It will highlight the important changes in the old guidelines and recommendations for daily practice.
