CRITICAL CARE OF CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM I

Due to their unique respiratory and cardiovascular physiology, children are at increased risk when the cardiovascular and respiratory systems undergo the deleterious changes that may occur in PICUs. The Webinar first review normal cardiovascular physiology in children; then provide knowledge of cardiorespiratory interactions; its transitional physiology of both two vital organ system that used to occur in critically ill children. It will discuss the standard assessment of cardiovascular function and adjunctive monitoring modalities that may be used to enhance the accuracy and timely implementation of therapeutic strategies. Since the type of hemodynamic monitoring used are numerous and diverse, the webinar will as well outline the standard hemodynamic monitoring management in critically ill children.
