NAVA Ventilation in Newborn Infants
Neurally adjusted ventilatory assist (NAVA) is expected to improve respiratory outcomes and reduce sedation use in extremely low-birth weight infants (ELBW) as it is able to measure accurately the very small tidal volume and deliver the appropriate support to the tiny babies accordingly. As a consequence, the work of breathing will decrease and babies will be more comfortable during their long admissions in NICU.
In this Webinar, we invited our distinguished Lecture, Arata Oda, MD – a Neonatologists and Deputy Director Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Nagano Children’s Hospital, Azumino, Nagano – Japan, who has plenty of research work in NAVA ventilation in neonatal unit. He will share his clinical practice and experiences to manage respiratory support with NAVA in preterm infants < 28 weeks of gestation effectively.
