FOREWORD

Chairman of 16th Indonesian PICU NICU Update

Dear Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 16th Indonesian PICU NICU Update Hybrid & Exhibition, held at the Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia, from May 29 to June 3, 2025. This year’s theme, “Navigating Challenges in Complex Neonatal & Pediatric Intensive Cases Management Effectively: Improving Quality & Safety Management of Complex Neonatal & Pediatric Cases,” highlights our shared commitment to advancing patient care standards in neonatal and pediatric intensive care.

This event offers a unique opportunity to engage in specialized workshops, insightful discussions, and hands-on sessions that will help deepen your skills and understanding in handling complex cases in neonatal and pediatric intensive care. Our agenda includes a Pre-Symposium Workshop starting May 29, centred on essential topics in NICU and PICU care such as ventilation strategies, infection control, management of preterm infants, and ultrasonography applications. The main symposium on May 31 – June 1 will be a pivotal opportunity to explore cutting-edge research, connect with fellow professionals, and examine emerging trends that can enhance our practices. Following the main event, Post-Symposium Workshops will be held on June 2-3, providing specialized training for both NICU and PICU care providers.

Organized in collaboration with the Pediatric Emergency and Intensive Critical Care & Neonatology Working Group of the Indonesian Pediatric Society and supported by the Indonesian Pediatric Society DKI Jakarta Chapter, this event brings together a distinguished network of pediatricians, intensivists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, ICU and emergency doctors, general practitioners, and allied health professionals.

Whether you join us in person or virtually, we are confident this event will be a meaningful experience that strengthens our community’s capacity to deliver the highest quality of care.

Thank you for your dedication to advancing pediatric and neonatal intensive care. We look forward to a memorable and impactful gathering.

Warm regards,

dr. Abdul Latief, Sp.A(K)
